Cathy can help you with your pain; whether it be recovering from an acute injury, assisting in the effective management of a chronic condition or treating your everyday aches. All clients will benefit from Cathy's thorough history taking and specific diagnosis. Her seven years clinical experience as a remedial massage therapist, prior to commencing as an osteopath, means her treatments are positively hands-on.
Cathy educates her patients about the process behind their pain, how osteopathic treatment can assist them and what they can do to help the recovery process. Expect sensible, down-to-earth advice regarding ergonomics, lifestyle and simple exercises.
Cathy enjoys working with a wide range of people, including elite athletes or the weekend warriors, pregnant women, post-surgical rehabilitation and assisting all people over the age of fifty in the process of ageing gracefully.
Cathy teaches at the Southern School of Natural Therapies and Endeavour College of Natural Health. She loves being a mother to her energetic toddler.
She has always had a keen interest in science and the body, completing a Science degree at Monash University majoring in anatomy and physiology. She went on to complete a Diploma of Remedial Massage as well as five years of study at Victoria University where she attained a Bachelor of Health Science (Clinical Sciences) and Masters of Health Science (Osteopathy).
