Concussion and its management is the single biggest issue facing contact sport in Australia

CONCUSSION DIAGNOSIS AND MANGEMENT

  • Baseline Testing

Baseline neurocognitive testing allows you to document the healthy brain function of an uninjured test-taker. This is available amateur and professional athletes playing contact sports during pre-season in order to accurately assess and manage potential concussion in season.

Get neurocognitive baseline testing provided through ImPACT neurocognitive testing.

  • Early Diagnosis and Care

After concussion is diagnosed, or suspected, it is important to be assessed by a qualified therapist within 72 hours.

Early concussion management care is important for recovery. As the brain is essentially in “energy crisis mode” post concussion your health care provider may have specific recommendations for you to follow. Mark Cooper is a qualified Shift Concussion Management provider (Canada).

  • Concussion Symptom Management

When symptoms of concussion persist it can be extremely debilitating. Mark Cooper can assist also in recovery. This may require coordinated care with other health care providers.
